The project « Rayon Vert » takes its title from the optical phenomenon and the 1986 Eric Rohmer film, both of which are reflected in the project’s approach to portraiture. The work can be seen as a continuation of the tradition of relationship between artist and model. The images respond to the existing, and too often clichéd, representations of femininity. The images are based on fact and are devoid of a patriarchal vision of beauty. Simond portrays her circle of relations, women aged between 20 and 30. Working to displace enough things from the image, avoiding decorative elements, in some images this extends to clothing, to authentically depict the subject. To arrive at a point of limit.
